A U T U M N W I N T E R 18 - 19
Each color is an emotion. Blue is for hope. Pink, for romance. Yellow, for happiness. Dark, for sorrow. At times, I feel a little hope in a sea of sorrow. Other times, I rejoice in happiness, even though I sit alone in the dark. I try to normalize, embrace, and feel every emotion as they come. It's okay to feel however you feel. We tend to self-torture, when we disregard or force ourselves not to feel a certain way. Besides, our current culture is ever so bent on dictating us to feel happy, smile, or think positively, at all times. But that's toxic. It's not that black and white. The human soul is much more plural than that. God made us into complex beings for a reason. And we need to discover, accept who we are and how we feel. Finally, with this collection, Sodade AW18-19, I tried to explore each prevalent emotion I've been feeling lately. I lost my best friend a few months back. And it's either been droplets or waves of emotions I have felt ever since. I have surely been able to dwell on each one for a second, be more present, before exhaling. And deep down, I also believe that fashion is what you make it to be. When you can afford it, or have the luxury to wear exactly who you are and what you want out of life, your clothing is an extension of you, of your personality, your style, your dreams, and most certainly your emotions.
